Email marketing is a great medium to share the news about upcoming events, sales, specials, and more with your existing customers and clients. But these emails do a lot more – they remind your patrons of your business and keep you on their mind for the next time they need your services.
How It Works
We work with our clients’ existing email contact list to design professional email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp, an email marketing service provider. With your email contact list in Excel, loaded on Constant Contact or another service provider, we will transfer your list to Mailchimp. Our reasoning for the transfer is that Mailchimp is very clean, professional, and it is also free for less than 2000 email contacts (reasonably-priced fees for more contacts).
Once we have the email list transferred to Mailchimp, our content marketing team member will work with you each month (or as is applicable) for the design, content, and scheduling of each email marketing campaign. Simply put, you’ll tell us what you want in the email, we’ll offer suggestions, design it, work with you on review and edits, and then schedule and/or send the campaign to your contacts.
As your email marketing contact list grows (we can add an email list sign-up to your website to help grow the list), we will also manage your list and add any new contacts as you acquire them.
Quality Over Quantity
We recommend that you limit your email marketing campaigns to no more than twice per month. Any more than that and you’ll experience increased unsubscribe rates. Nobody really likes to be ‘spammed’, but they do like regular updates and information.
Something we recommend for email marketing campaigns is that you include at least one special deal or promotion. These discounts or specials make your email list contacts feel like they have exclusive access to your goods and services. It also gives them some value for being on your list, and can help your email list grow.
