Samples of Our Work

Video Planning

Oftentimes, your account manager can provide all the direction that is needed for your video shoot, especially when the assignment is simple and straightforward.

However, when the video that needs to be produced is about a more complicated subject, consulting with a creative planner who can storyboard and refine the instructions for the photo team may improve results.

Because we’re located in Seattle, we have videographers on staff that we can dispatch at low, consistent pricing. Our basic Seattle shoot includes one videographer and standard equipment sets.

This is the baseline standard of the shoot. However, you can add additional resources. Your strategist will suggest any needed add-ons and let you know if there will be an additional cost to getting the images you need.

Types of Videos

Interview or Informational Video

An interview, informational, or “talking head” video is a staple of website About pages. They are great for educating new clients about who you are and what your story is. To create this kind of video, we typically send a single videographer with lights, a microphone, and a list of interview questions. This is the raw footage that comes back to our editors.

The editing process is about finding a story thread in the answers you give during the interview. Achieving this is a particular talent because answers themselves may seem unrelated in their raw form. Our editor’s job is not only to edit down and create smooth transitions, but also to find and support the key sound bites so that the video makes sense.

Whiteboard Video

A whiteboard video is the simplest form of motion graphic. The development process is similar to that of infographics.

We start with a consultation in order to understand the business or industry the whiteboard video will be explaining. We follow that up with several hours of research and an internal meeting to develop the storyboard and script.

Once we have the sketch and script, we sit down with you to review our visual understanding of the concept, making any necessary adjustments based on your feedback. Once we’ve settled on the storyboard and script, the design process begins.

Complete Text Overlay Video (Seattle)

A complete text overlay video runs for 60 to 90 seconds (or contains a series of videos totaling 60 to 90 seconds). It includes the following services:

  • Brand strategist video planning: Once you and your strategist have decided what kind of video you want, we meet internally to discuss the shot list and ensure that the videographer has a good conceptual understanding of what is needed.
  • Basic two-hour Seattle area shoot: This covers a two-hour shoot with one person. However, we can add more resources to the shoot if necessary.
  • Post-production and editing: We’ll complete editing and compilation of footage from the shoot.
  • Text overlay: Some videos benefit from text overlay or mixed media. This is where text or images appear to interact with objects in the background.

Editing Types

Facebook Caption Formatting

Facebook favors a very particular video format. For years, it has been focusing on the mobile-first initiative. Because people typically don’t use sound on their phones, videos often require captioning to capture the user.

Additionally, Facebook favors videos that are in a 1:1 aspect ratio, as it does not require users to rotate their phones to view the content. This is why many videos on Facebook are square. Videos that were originally shot in landscape format are typically edited to have black on the top and bottom in order to convert them into the standard square format.

Many people use the black space on the top and bottom to add extra eye-catching content to encourage viewership.

These videos perform over 80 percent better than all other content on Facebook and are well worth the investment.

Note: This service includes editing, not filming, and the product is typically 10 to 30 seconds.

Hype Video / Sizzle Reel

Cutting together an exciting reel is one of the quickest and easiest kinds of video production. This process leaves creative control entirely up to the video editor to work with splitting, mixing, and matching your existing video content into something that excites people. These videos are very good for social media and to promote events.

Mixed Media Text Overlay

Some videos benefit from text overlay or mixed media, where text or images appear to interact with objects in the background. Doing this requires a particular skillset of both creative and technical expertise. Because of this, we bill this service by the hour, as projects have a wide variability.

Add-Ons:

Motion Graphics

Motion graphics are essentially video versions of infographics. The process is similar to that of whiteboard videos. However, production takes longer due to the complexity of the illustrations and the fact that they must be manually produced.

We start with a consultation in order to understand what about your business or industry the motion graphic video will be explaining. We follow that up with several hours of research and an internal meeting to develop the storyboard and script of what the video will look like.

Once we have the sketch and script, we sit down with you to review our visual understanding of the concept, making any necessary adjustments based on your feedback. Once we’ve settled on the storyboard and script, the design process begins.

The design process is typically a labor-intensive collaboration between our graphic designers and our video editors. During that same time, our content team produces the voice-over through our pool of talent. Once the two pieces are complete, we combine them and present them to you for final revisions.

Video Scripts

We can create many videos by just capturing your product or service in action. However, sometimes the shots need to be more specific in terms of what is being communicated. In these situations, our writers work with you to develop a script or — in the case of interview-based videos — a list of questions we will ask.

  • We will either post your video files on your YouTube page or deliver them directly to you.
  • We will make raw video files available through cloud storage, if desired.
  • We may use videos on an ongoing basis for social media and blogging, as well as for use on your website. Marketeering Group is authorized to include any videos in our portfolio and promotional projects, with appropriate copyright attribution to you (the client).
  • The finished product is dependent on your approval (nonapproval does not equal incomplete work and will not result in a refund under any circumstances).
  • You will verify an understanding of what is included in your video shoots, as well as the available add-ons as outlined in the multimedia preproduction plan.
  • No video shoot will occur without your verification of the preproduction plan.
  • If you are unhappy with the results of a shoot after verifying the preproduction plan and deem the videos unusable, you may purchase an add-on shoot based on the pricing listed on Marketeering Group’s website.
