Peace out, 2014! We are now 15 years ahead of the millennium and what a way we’ve come. The past 12 months have spurred moments good and bad, high and low, setting the stage for a highly anticipated 2015. This year brought innovative advances in consumer technology, escalating the prominence of social media and online communication even further. These developments were juxtaposed by setbacks in social/political issues and race relations, in which the power of the Internet acted as the world’s platform for discussion (Ferguson, ISIS, net neutrality). The way we use the Internet is now a forefront to the most pressing issues of our time.
